Sinanation® is the journal of Sinan Baştaş named after a nickname one of his friends picked for him. Its topics range from food, travel, relationships, art to music and include the author’s insight and recommendations. Sinanation launched in 2007 as a means to a fantasy world that pauses the customary reality and motivates the brave imagination.

Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Sinan graduated from Northwestern University in 2006. He has traveled to and worked in numerous cities around the world including Chicago, Paris, London and New York and currently resides in Istanbul. He manages, with much endurance and daze, the family textile business, Miktroteks® together with his father. A struggling entrepreneur, an amateur DJ, an envious raver, a rebellious capitalist and a habitual artist, Sinan also writes pieces for magazines such as Mix and Fin Digital, a part of the Digital Tree Publishing House.
