There are a few professions I envy deeply, but can never imagine taking them on. The hours are crazy, the chances of success are minuscule and the road to fame (if ever there is one) is extremely rocky. The high profile fashion photographer and the celebrity DJ are on the top of my list for this category.
Think of Thierry Richardson, the word-renowned fashion photographer. His latest assignment was to shoot the Pirelli Calendar for 2010. On a remote beach in Brasil…with the most beautiful girls on Earth, all ready to take his directions…drowned in nature…mostly naked…He is at work.
Then there is Claude Challe, the uber-famous DJ of Buddha Bar in Paris. Since his debut at the famous French restaurant/nightclub, Challe has complied amazing albums that are sold worldwide and has played at incredible parties around the world. He is the one who made world music popular by re-inventing its melody and applying its spiritual power to the energy of the night life. From jungles to African tribes, he has been all around the world looking for the beats that he could work with.Ā From princesses to actresses, he has been the one who gives the fancy crowd a reason to let loose.
