Amazing effects bundled with unbelievable imagination. I admit that it is a must see. Yet somehow towards the middle of the movie I kept asking myself “Isn’t this almost Pocahontas shot in the future in space?” If only Jake Sully lived in the ancient times, then he would certainly dig the exotic daughter of the Indian chief.
Jeeez!! Dude way to ruin a movie. Well not ruin it, but you know, lower its amazingness. I actually really liked Pocahontas and still do. If I may point out some differences:
1- Jake Skully is waayy hotter than John Smith
2- The “untouched world” of Pocahontas is boring, beige and uneventful compares to the beauty and wonder that is Pandora.
3- John Smith never pretends to be apart of their world. After all he’s never “heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon”…
Now that I think about it, you’re right, it’s pretty similar. Americans taking over innocent people whose land is sacred and valuable. Land which the locals have managed to preserve, unlike los Yankees. Oh I’m sorry, I forgot we were talking fiction here.
haven’t seen the movie yet — but still, en iyi comment by tara dude.
